Hello and welcome!
After several wonderful years in Portugal, my wife and I have now officially begun a new chapter of our lives in Davao City, Philippines — her beautiful hometown on the island of Mindanao.
In October 2025, we successfully settled here and couldn’t be happier with how smoothly everything turned out. What was once a dream has now become reality — surrounded by a welcoming community, tropical nature, and a slower, more mindful pace of life.
Although I plan to take early retirement in 2027, I’ll continue working as a freelancer, focusing on projects that offer complete geographic flexibility. This approach allows me to stay professionally active while fully embracing the freedom and inspiration that come with an international lifestyle.
In the past, I’ve successfully worked across time zones, including on Google-related projects with VACO LLC – collaborating from Lisbon while operating in the Los Angeles PST time zone. This experience proved my ability to deliver reliable and effective results in a remote, global context.
That’s why I’m especially interested in roles that allow for fully remote work. These opportunities align perfectly with our future plans and enable me to contribute my skills while remaining location-independent.
Earlier in my career, I gained valuable experience in production management, site supervision, and assembly coordination. These roles helped me build strong leadership and organizational skills. Transitioning to remote work has further sharpened my ability to adapt and succeed in diverse, fast-moving environments.
After a brief settling-in period in Davao and reconnecting with family, we’re planning to launch our own small Bed & Breakfast in November 2025 – a passion project that inspires us both professionally and personally.
